Bill Lapsley
Henderson County Commission Chair, first elected 2014, term ending December 2026 and not running. Has not scheduled a vote on the sheriff's cameras; to the Hendersonville Lightning: "until we hear of some abuse or something radical happening, I don't see a problem."
Lowell Griffin
Henderson County Sheriff since 2018. His office bought the county's Flock cameras in 2025 inside its approved budget, with no commission vote; its portal lists 2,048 agencies with access; it holds WNC's only 287(g) agreement. Unopposed on November 3, 2026.
